Hi! I'm Laura Carr. I started Carr Educational Services, LLC. to meet the unique needs of neurodiverse students. I have taught Special Education since 2011 and have enjoyed working with preschool, elementary, high school, and young adult learners in many different educational settings. I have worn many hats during my career in education, and as a result, I understand the unique needs of students in grades K-12.
Some examples of my classroom work experience:
Resource Specialist Teacher 2nd-5th
Special Education English Teacher 9th & 12th
Collaborative English Teacher 9th, 10th & 12th
Life Skills Teacher, Age 18-22
My passion is helping students develop their independence and autonomy as scholars. I love teaching students the skills they need to become strong readers and writers. I firmly believe that learning to read is one of the greatest skills we can teach an individual. Once you know how to read, you can learn anything.
